New to Giro’s lineup this year are knit uppers and these Republics sport an Xnetic Knit material that is specifically made for the rigors of cycling. The knit offers incredible suppleness for sock-like comfort and breathability. What about if it’s raining out we hear you asking. It’s DWR-treated for water repellency and easy cleaning, and on the front of the shoe, a rubber toe guard combines with a bonded TPU heel on the rear for increased durability and abrasion resistance. Inside the shoe, a TPU skeletal system provides support for the knit outer and Giro uses its molded EVA footbed, providing a medium level of arch support. Reflective laces help keep you safe after the sun goes down, while the nylon and rubber co-molded outsole provides the necessary traction for safely navigating the slippery floors at the coffee shop. The Giro Republic R Knit HV shoes are made for 2-bolt cleats and available in whole sizes 39. 0 to 48. 0 and in the colors Black/Charcoal Heather.
